Casa Esperanza is an exquisite romantic colonial Bed and Breakfast Inn. We are located in the heart of the historical district, downtown Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.
The legendary Yucatecan, Manuel G. Canton Ramos, built Casa Esperanza during the 1890's, not as a hotel, but, originally as his private luxurious residence. The famous architectural engineer also built Merida's renowned landmark, the impressive Canton Palace, now the city's Mayan Anthropology Museum.
The beautiful French inspired mansion features; eighteen-foot ceilings, columns, arches, floral moldings, original stain glass windows, and hand painted tiles throughout. Fresh light décor abounds with tasteful furnishings, sumptuous fabrics & linens, & our unique whimsical collection of art & antiques.
Colourful tropical gardens, peaceful patios, soothing fountains, and a refreshing swimming pool await you. A relaxing tranquil atmosphere surrounds your accommodation.
Claudette and Sergio Terrazas, the proprietors, welcome and invite you to enjoy the enchanting city
of Merida, and the magical wonders of the Yucatan Peninsula. Come and experience the captivating old world charm of Mexico!
